Farrah writes short stories, plays and is currently working on her first novel. 


Her novel, Almost Strangers, was highly commended (2nd place) in Cheshire Novel Prize 2022 and shortlisted in: Bath Novel Award 2022; Avon x Mushens Entertainment Prize 2021; and Killing It - HarperCollins Prize 2021. 


Her short stories have been published in anthologies and listed in the following prizes: BBC National Short Story Award (2020); Leicester Writes (2017); Asian Writer (2012 & 2016); and Writeidea (2014 & 2015).


She has developed her plays with Kali Theatre (2014/2015) and Royal Court Theatre (2015) as part of their discoveries and play writing programmes.


Farrah was born in Pakistan, lives in London and can usually be found chasing her toddler twins and 5 year old. She began her career as a solicitor, then became an advocacy / project manager in the charity sector.
